Frequently asked
Questions Californians ask us.
How much does it cost to fight a California traffic ticket?
Our flat fees start at $200 for standard infractions like speeding under CVC §22350. Red-light, cell-phone, and complex citations run $250–$600. Misdemeanors (reckless, suspended license, DUI) are quoted individually. There are no hidden charges and no per-hour billing.
Do I have to go to court?
No. For infractions, your lawyer appears on your behalf under CVC §40903 or by submitting a Trial by Written Declaration. You stay home, work, or sleep. We call you with the result the same day court adjourns.
What’s your success rate?
Roughly 90% of Southern California infractions we handle are either dismissed outright or reduced to a non-moving violation with no DMV points. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes — every case turns on its own facts.
Will fighting my ticket raise my insurance?
No. The opposite, in fact. Insurance companies raise rates based on DMV points reported after a conviction. Dismissals and non-moving reductions add zero points. Hiring us is almost always cheaper than a single year of premium increase from a moving violation.
I live out of state but got a California ticket. Can you help?
Yes. We regularly defend out-of-state drivers cited on the I-5, I-15, I-40, and I-80 corridors. The process is identical — you upload your ticket, we appear in California court, you stay home in Phoenix or Las Vegas.
What if I already missed my court date?
Call us today. A missed appearance triggers a Failure to Appear (FTA) and often a license hold. We file motions to recall the FTA, lift the hold, and re-set the case. The sooner you call, the cheaper and easier this is.
